Snøhetta

"I’m a strong proponent of breaking down barriers. We should move freely across the borders of landscape, architecture, and interiors without a passport."

Craig Dykers

Bio

Snøhetta has grown to become one of the most renowned Architecture & Design practices globally, with more than 300 employees from 33 different nations working across 8 studios spanning a global presence, from Oslo, Paris and Innsbruck to New York, Hong Kong, Shenzen, Adelaide and San Francisco.
Since its inception in 1989, the practice has maintained its original transdisciplinary approach, and often integrates a combination of architecture, landscape, interior, product, graphic, digital design and art across its projects. The collaborative nature between Snøhetta’s different disciplines is an essential driving force of the practice.
At the heart of all of Snøhetta’s work lies a commitment to social and environmental sustainability, shaping the built-up environment and design in the service of humanism. Snøhetta believes well-conceived design can help things run more efficiently, improve people’s well-being and make life more enjoyable. Every project is designed with strong, meaningful concepts in mind – concepts that can translate the ethos of its users and their context.
Even with a primarily international approach and staff, Snøhetta has retained a strong and unified culture that is well-rooted within the Nordic model, where equality, openness, generosity, and sustainability are translated into impactful projects.
